Thanksgiving is just around the corner and that means lots of you are dusting off your running shoes for a local Turkey Trot.
Here are 3 tips to make this year’s run go better than ever before:
Strides are 30 second warm up accelerations. Start at a jog and progress your speed to about 95% of your MAX. This is the most efficient and effective running warm up you can do. Do 5 sets of these before your race.
It is crucial to prevent your Heart Rate from shooting to the moon as soon as the race starts. Take the first 1/4 to 1/2 mile to find a comfortable breath before starting to push your pace.
